Synopsis

The work we have carried out is a complete, in-depth study of the fumes released by the gas turbine chimney at the GP2/Z complex. The aim was to study the quantities of gases emitted by the turbines and to analyze them in order to determine the extent of their danger to the environment. After analyzing the quantity of gases leaving the turbines, we saw that the gas leaving in large quantities is carbon monoxide CO, so it became the object of our study and the focus of our attention through our research into how to reduce its emission in large quantities. To reduce CO emissions, we have concluded that the most effective solution is to make a modification to the fins in the combustion chamber. This modification involves changing the angle of the fins inside the turbine combustion chamber, and the application of this solution results in a reduction in the quantity of CO released by the turbines.
