Synopsis

Copyright seeks to protect the interest of the creators while balancing this against the need to promote public access to ingenuous works. This creates a scenario where the conventional and outmoded mechanisms for copyright protection are constantly struggling to catch up with the rapidly evolving environment.This paper shall identify the various technological innovations which pose a threat to the protection of the creator’s right and examine how the copyright community has responded to such threats.
