Synopsis

Growth of Industries and Urbanization have some negative impacts on our society and environment due the by-product of industries. Fly ash(FA), bottom ash(BA) and granulated blast furnace slag (GBFS), effulent treatment plant sludge (ETP sludge) are industrial wastes from thermal power plant and steel industries respectively. These generated wastes creates a loss of materials, energy and impose economic & environmental costs on society for its collection, treatment and disposal. These by-products create environmental problems like air pollution, water pollution and land degradation etc. Utilization of these waste as a building materials products like brick and concrete by geopolymerization techniques have been attempted.
