Synopsis
Le livre suivant représente une description détaillée de diverses larves de cordés et de non-cordés. Les larves de plusieurs espèces sont importantes à des fins écologiques et économiques. La larve est une étape d'existence auto-alimentation et de natation libre qui ressemble moins aux adultes. Ils ne sont généralement pas pris en charge par leurs changements structurels et physiologiques pour atteindre l'âge adulte. Le processus est appelé métamorphose et les changements sont appelés changements métamorphiques. Les organismes traitant les stades larvaires pondent des œufs minuscules avec très peu (microlecithal) ou pas de matériau jaune.
