With the advent of technology, virtual reality (VR) has been disseminating in several areas of knowledge, including health. Currently, it is already possible to identify a wide use of this technological modality in health services, being implemented from surgical simulations, in the perspective of medical training, to the elaboration of diagnoses and treatments. The use of this technology provides the user with the interaction with a virtual environment through a real action. This idea of great interactivity provides a greater involvement with this bulkhead, enabling the acquisition of specific skills through simulation strategies, these being the characteristics that led to the use of this technology in rehabilitation. This publication proposes to present, in front of a literary review and experimental research, some of the therapeutic possibilities of this resource.
