Synopsis
La tuberculose est l'une des maladies infectieuses les plus répandues dans le monde et représente un problème majeur de santé publique. Le Mali, pays où la tuberculose est endémique, a notifié 7084 nouveaux cas de tuberculose en 2018, avec une incidence estimée à 53 nouveaux cas pour 10 000 habitants. Objectif : Evaluer la fréquence de la tuberculose chez les enfants âgés de 0 à 15 ans au service pédiatrique de l'hôpital du Mali. Matériaux et méthodes : Il s'agit d'une étude prospective et descriptive, rapportant une série de 8 cas de tuberculose collectés chez des enfants âgés de 0 à 15 ans en pédiatrie de l'hôpital du Mali du 1er janvier au 31 décembre 2019. Les données ont été collectées à l'hôpital, saisies sur Access et analysées sur SPSS version 23. Résultats : une fréquence de 0,078 % a été trouvée. Le sexe féminin dominait avec un sex-ratio de 3, tandis que le groupe d'âge de 2 à 5 ans était plus représenté avec 37,5%. Les enfants des agriculteurs et des ouvriers étaient plus nombreux (37,5 % chacun) et 62,5 % des enfants venaient des zones rurales. Une contagion a été notée chez 25 % des sujets et l'intervalle de temps le plus courant pour l'apparition des symptômes était de 1 à 4 mois.

The female sex dominated with a sex ratio of 3, while the 2 - 5 age group was more represented with 37.5%. The children of farmers and labourers were more numerous (37.5% each) and 62.5% of the children came from rural areas.
