L'une des dernières avancées dans la technologie du béton est le béton ultra-haute résistance (UHSC). UHSC est défini comme des bétons atteignant une résistance à la compression supérieure (100 MPa). Ce béton est un matériau en béton renforcé par des fibres et densément emballé qui présente une performance mécanique accrue et une durabilité supérieure par rapport aux bétons normaux et à haute résistance. Dans la présente étude, un travail expérimental a été effectué pour étudier le comportement des poutres en béton armé ultra haute résistance en cisaillement et en flexion. Au total, douze poutres rectangulaires simplement soutenues ont été coulées avec une dimension de section transversale (150 × 250) mm et une portée de (2150 mm). Trois spécimens de cisaillement direct ont également été préparés et testés pour étudier le comportement de transfert de force de cisaillement du béton ultra haute résistance. Les propriétés mécaniques telles que la résistance à la compression, la courbe de contrainte de compression, le module d'élasticité et la résistance à la traction du béton ont été étudiées. Les valeurs moyennes des résistances à la compression et à la traction de l'UHSC étaient respectivement de 124 N/mm2 et 7 MPa.
