Quality Function Deployment is a technique used to carry the “Voice of the Customers” (the customer requirements), through the design and production process. The “QFD Matrix” which is a planning document in the Quality Function Deployment Process, provides a structure for relating the customers’ needs to the technical specifications and ensuring that the key specifications are identified and deployed throughout the subsequent production process.
