Synopsis

This book examines state of supply chain management (SCM) & supply chain performance measurement (SCPM) practices in Indian textile industry. Book presents study that has very comprehensive review of literature in field of SCM & SCPM in global context as well in Indian context. Framework is built based on gaps and in consultation with experts of textile industry, academicians from textile institutes, consultants and practitioners. Hierarchical framework for decision making is developed using structured Delphi Method and implemented in 4 case textile industries. Book explains the implementation methodology and its rationale. Framework implemented is used to examine the crucial performance measures and their criticality level towards overall supply chain performance measurement of textile industry using analytical hierarchy process (AHP) as multi criteria decision making (MCDM) technique. Book also argues on theoretical and practical implication of the study. Also presents the managerial implication and future scope for interested academician and researchers.
