Synopsis

Medicinal chemistry is the branch of science that provides the drugs either through discovery or through design. They are condensation products of primary amines with carbonyl compounds, and they were first reported by Hugo Schiff base in 1864. Heterocyclic chemistry is one of the most complex and intriguing branch of organic chemistry and heterocyclic compounds constitute the largest and most varied family of organic compounds.
