Wireless communication is the fastest-growing area of the communication industry. To keep pace with the growing demands for high data rates, growing file sizes, and increased bandwidth, Multiple Input Multiple Output (MIMO) systems were proposed offering high data rate, successive interference cancellation, and high spectrum efficiency. In the course of my book. Firstly focus is given on the basics of MIMO Channels over which the V-BLAST/MAP algorithm is to be applied. MIMO Channel uses a number of Transmitters and Receivers instead of a single Transmitter and Receiver, to provide high SNR in a rich scattering environment. Complex vectors sent are estimated at the receiver end with the help of various detection algorithms like Maximum Likelihood Detection, Zero Forcing, Linear Least Square Error, Minimum Mean Square Error algorithm, and many more.V-BLAST(Vertical Bell Labs Layered Space-Time)algorithm was proposed to achieve high spectral efficiency in the MIMO system when decoded with the linear receiver with reduced decoding complexity.
