This present book Children in Dewey Decimal Classification actually tries to focus on the treatment of subject descriptors on children in all the printed editions of DDC. At the same time the focus has been given on the growth of the literary warrant published on children and its correlated subjects which are easily available in bibliographic format in the WorldCat database. After reviewing related literature it has been found that in spite of so many thoughtful analytical works on DDC, focus has not been given on the subject development of children in DDC. So a knowledge gap is seen in this regard. With the purpose of fulfilling the knowledge gap an effort has been made to pursue the analytical work on the treatment of subject descriptors on children in the various editions of DDC which is the ultimate goal of this book. To every student who is pursuing classification studies on Dewey Decimal Classification this book would definitely be of good help to him or her because not only the subject development of DDC editions is reflected here at the same time in getting a brief insight into the evolution of DDC this will play a significant role.
