As a consequence of the global world we live in and in good part due to the problems that plague it, schools in the Autonomous Region of Madeira, Portugal, are receiving more and more children coming from other countries. For this reason, we have chosen this region of Portugal as a case study, due to its intrinsic value. In this text we intend to report on how kindergarten teachers in this autonomous region perceive and consider in their practice education for interculturality of pre-school children, as well as to understand the role that Information and Communication Technologies (ICT) play as a resource to foster these practices. We focus the analysis on the results obtained through a questionnaire survey. It was found that interculturality, despite the growing cultural heterogeneity in pre-school classrooms, is not always addressed in depth, and that the use of ICT is still little explored.
