Experimental Investigations of Nano Particles Reinforced Al7150 MMCs: Fabrication, Physical, and Mechanical Studies of Aluminum based Metal Matrix Composites - Couverture souple
Synopsis
Aluminum (Al) Metal Matrix Composites (MMCs) are being used in place of cast iron and steel in automobile, mining, and mineral sectors due to their lightweight and high strength. This book describes the extensive literature review of the various researchers work on the studies of Al-MMCs. Further, the fabrication of MMCs, of Al7150-SiC, hBN, SiC, TiC, B4C MMCs ultrasonic assisted double stir casting technique. The composites were developed by liquid metallurgy technique via stir casting method which is economical. The fabricated MMCs were subjected to various studies like physical, mechanical and tribological properties along with the OM and SEM studies on the alloys and composites. The obtained results of the MMCs were presented and discussed.
