Synopsis

The work is devoted to the study of Spanish and Italian phraseology in the framework of the religious code of culture, based on the linguocultural approach. The works of both Russian and foreign linguists of XX-XXI centuries dealing with the question of linguoculturology research are analysed. The peculiarities of the religious code of culture in phraseology are revealed and the thematic and semantic classifications of the phraseological units in Spanish and Italian with the religious component are created. Special attention is paid to the phenomenon of desacralization found in a number of Spanish and Italian phraseological units.
