Synopsis

The purpose of this study was to help pupils to overcome difficulties in computing addition of decimal fraction at Ntribuoho L/A primary school. The use of Multibase Arithmetic Block (MAB’s) was employed to help pupils to understand the concept of decimal fractions and use it in their daily lives. The study recommended that there should be an introduction of school based or focus in-service training for the teachers in the school particularly in methods of teaching mathematics and preparation of instructional materials for teaching mathematics effectively for understanding.
