Educational Institutions across the world have closed due to the COVID-19- a novel corona virus disease spreading across the globe, many countries have ordered closure of all educational institutions. Educational institutions have come to a functional standstill since they had to protect their students from viral exposures: most educational institutes have shifted to online learning platforms to keep the academic activities going. However, the questions about the preparedness, designing and effectiveness of e-learning are still not clearly understood, particularly for a developing country like India. According to UNESCO, by the end of April 2020. Total 186 countries have implemented nation-wide closures, affecting about 73.8% of the total enrolled learners (UNESCO, 202). So, these losses will have lasting impacts on the students and on each nation, unless they are effectively remediated. Suspension of face-to-face instruction in educational institutions during the COVID-19 pandemic has led to concerns about consequences for students learning. In this view the present book throws a light on “ALTERNATIVE TEACHING PRACTICES DURING PANDEMIC”.
