The present investigation was carried out to evaluate the effect of microbial inoculants on growth, yield, and nutrient uptake of capsicum under glass house conditions adopting CRD statistical design at the Department of Agricultural Microbiology, UAS, GKVK, Bangalore during 2013-14. Plant growth parameters viz., plant height, number of branches, leaf area, chlorophyll content and plant biomass, recorded at different stages of crop growth. Highest growth parameters was observed in the treatment involving Azotobacter chroococcum (A.C), Bacillus megaterium (B.M ),Glomus fasciculatum (G.F) with 75% NP + 100% K along with vermicompost followed by the treatment receiving AC, BM, GF with 75% NP and 100% K with FYM. The yield parameters viz., number of fruits per plants, average fruit weight was found maximum in the treatment with AC, BM, GF with 75%NP and 100% K along with vermicompost(VC).The growth and yield parameters were found to be lowest in the uninoculated treatments supplied with only inorganic fertilizers.
