The traditional method of controlling the quality of a mineral is performed by taking and analyzing samples to determine their chemical composition. Sampling is carried out both during detailed and intraore exploration, and during mining operations to identify and refine the contours of deposits. The duration of the chemical analysis of one sample is more than 100 minutes, which complicates the operational control of the technological process. In addition, the cost of analyzing one sample, compared with geophysical methods for monitoring the quality of mineral raw materials, is more than one order of magnitude. The monograph considers the main geophysical methods of operational quality control of ferrous metal ores in the mining industry. The results of mathematical modeling of processes intended for the development and implementation of mobile devices and microprocessor systems for the operational quality control of mineral raw materials are presented.
