This book presents recent developments to design and to implement Atmospheric Water Generators (AWGs) using Thermos-Electric Cooling (TEC) technology. Two models were developed and tested experimentally. Prototype-1 was the first trial including analysis and modeling of TEC technology. The experimental results showed that this model produced a limited quantity of condensed water without optimization of electric power consumption. Prototype-2 is developed to increase the water production. This model reduces also the consumed electrical energy. A smart control algorithm is developed to adapt the thermal load inside the heat exchanger. A complete water purification process is presented and a practical analysis results on the produced water in an accredited laboratory is presented to ensure the quality of final drinkable water according to Egyptian and WHO standards. A techno-economic study is presented for the developed AWG model. The international standards for AWG machines are also investigated. Finally, discussion and recommendations are presented to indicate which technology is more promising in the future to extract water from air.
