In this work, we examine the basic tenets of effective communication in both scenarios, person to person, and brand communication. We examine in detail, the different types of communication for each scenario and how they may be best leveraged for effectiveness. The paper also briefly explores the effects of the pandemic on both person-to-person relationships, particularly marriage, and business operations, with primary focus on the Jamaican context.The paper aims to enlighten readers on the importance of communication in rebuilding personal relationships as well as brand image and communication during and after the pandemic and so it makes general recommendations for the level of priority to be given to communication in each context, as the pandemic lingers, and in a post pandemic world.
