Brazil has one of the largest biodiversities on the planet and several hotspots spread throughout its territory, especially in the Atlantic Forest. Although the Brazilian legislation includes many areas of ecological relevance, there are still few studies that show whether these places protected by Conservation Units (UC) include areas considered as priority for environmental protection.
