Synopsis

An evaluative study on cold cabbage leaves compression on breast engorgement among posts mothers in Tirunelveli district, research in nursing was done by My wife Vanitha Reg no;30083223 from Cherraan’s college of nursing, Telungupalayam pirivu, affiliated to the Tamil nadu Dr. M.G.R. Medical university, Chennai on 2010.There was a significant association between the post test score on breast engorgement with their selected demographic variables among post natal mothers.Conceptual frame work for the study was based on the Wiedenbacks theory (1964). Research design used for this study was quasi experimental one group pre and post design. The study was conducted in Medical college hospital at Tirunelveli district. The population for this study was post natal mothers. Purposive sampling technique was used to select the sample.Data collection tool consisted of six point breast engorgement scale, demographic variables to evaluate the effectiveness of cold cabbage leaves compression on breast engorgement.The content validity of the tool was done by experts in different fields.The collected data were tabulated analyzed & interpreted by using descriptive and inferential statistical methods.
