Synopsis

The phase of provisional restorations is an important stage for the success of crowns and bridges, since several weeks pass between the preparation of the teeth and the cementation of the definitive restoration. The most commonly used materials for making temporary restorations in fixed prosthodontics are self-curing acrylic resins, due to their ease of use, versatility, low cost and adequate physical and mechanical properties.
