Synopsis

This volume is part of the Development Studies collection. This collection is a product of the academic activities developed by the PPGDR - Stricto Sensu Postgraduate Programme in Regional Development - Master's and Doctorate. In particular, the studies published in this book refer to works linked to the Public Policy and Social Management Research Line, selected from works presented at the 2015 and 2016 Knowledge Salons. The book consists of eight chapters, covering the following themes: Social Inclusion and Poverty Reduction; Cooperativism; Democratisation of Higher Education; Women's Autonomy in Gender Relations; National Policies for Women; Social Control and Gender Relations; Social Marketing Applied to the Theme of Endometriosis and the Approach to the Theme of Violence in Regionally Circulated Periodicals. To summarise, the book you have in your hands brings together a set of studies and debates that are highly topical and of extreme social relevance. In this sense, everyone is invited to enjoy reading this collective work that we are now presenting.
