Synopsis
This book is basically emphasized to characterization of biomolecules (Protein, amino acids, hormones, lipids etc.) using vibrational spectroscopic techniques. The Raman and IR techniques are illustrated in detail. The importance of SERS characterization is highlighted. As detection of biomolecules is very sensitive to their functional groups, therefore some important vibrational bands of molecules are presented from different authentic research articles. The calculation of band gap of different molecules using UV-spectroscopic is also mentioned in the book.
