Synopsis

This research is based on the study of the population's behavior regarding the disposal of waste produced by them. As a contribution to reducing this waste, this research aims to analyze the level of collaboration and awareness of the population, focusing on the importance of solid waste collection. It is intended that this study can show the reality of people's collaboration and knowledge of selective waste collection, so that it can serve as a basis for future projects to raise awareness of selective solid waste collection to benefit environmental sustainability, sensitizing them to change their habits, undertaking strategies and actions that promote changes in attitude, for the creation of educational spaces that strengthen the moral, intellectual and citizen condition of the population and, therefore, provide a solution to the problems of pollution in the environment.
