Mathematics, an abstract fundamental science that deals with the practice of number, measurement, shape, structure, and quantity. At school level, the main purpose of teaching this to learners is to increase their abilities to solve various problems and rational thinking. So, the mathematical content should be presented among the learners in a systematic way. Here, if the learners face any problem, a phobia towards the subject will be formed. The author, as a secondary level school teacher, has noticed this in solving mathematical problems practically. This book is a humble effort to find out some remedials by which our dear learners can be able to overcome the problems in learning Mathematics. There are easy going, genial and tolerant discussions in this book about the problems on major concept ‘Proportion (Algebraic Treatment)’ which have been arising in the syllabi of W.B.B.S.E. as well as C.I.S.C.E. These discussions have been done adopting several materials and methods. This book will be useful for the learners of schools and their teachers, B.Ed. students and teachers, curriculum developers, researchers of various levels and those who are interested in learning mathematics.
