Synopsis

Oralcandidiasis is an infection that occurs due to the growth of Candida colonies and their invasion into the tissues of the oral cavity, which occurs when the host's physical barriers and immune defenses are compromised. In view of the fact that more and more people create resistance to certain drugs, resulting in a consequent change in the oral microflora, the cost and side effects that may represent the post-treatment with antifungals, the present research was proposed based on herbal medicine through the use of natural plants such as matico and garlic extracted from different altitudinal floors of Peru, demonstrating in an in vitro study the high sensitivity of garlic from Arequipa, followed by garlic collected from the Puno region on Candida albicans .(1).
