Aim: This study evaluated the impact of an instructional package on maternity nurses' knowledge, practices, and attitudes concerning nursing care in the first stage of normal labor. Design: A quasi-experimental design (one group pre-posttest) was employed at Beni-Suef University Hospital and Beni-Suef Specialist Hospital, involving a convenience sample of 50 maternity nurses. Tools: Data collection utilized three instruments: a structured interview questionnaire, an observational checklist for assessing practices, and a tool for measuring attitudes. Results: Significant improvements were observed in nurses' knowledge, practices, and attitudes pre and post-implementation of the instructional package, alongside positive correlations among these scores. Conclusion: The instructional package positively influenced the competencies of maternity nurses in caring for women during the first stage of normal labor, validating the research hypotheses.
