This research focuses on analyzing how variations in archwire dimensions and power arm heights influence tooth movement during en masse retraction of the maxillary anterior segment with mini-implant supported sliding mechanics. Achieving controlled tooth movement, especially bodily retraction, is a major objective in orthodontic treatment following premolar extraction. Proper anchorage control is essential to prevent unwanted posterior tooth movement and undesirable tipping of anterior teeth. The study assessed stress distribution in the periodontal ligament and surrounding bone, maximum displacement of the anterior teeth, and frictional forces generated during sliding mechanics. By comparing these configurations, the research aimed to identify the most favorable combination that produces efficient space closure with minimal tipping and optimal bodily movement of the maxillary anterior teeth.
