While books of various sizes have been written on Common Law alone, Civil Law alone, the Communist Law System alone and the Islamic Law System alone, to the best of our knowledge no book has previously been written which deals specifically with the major legal systems in the contemporary world as a whole, giving roughly equal weight to each legal system.The purpose of this book is to fill that gap by supplying an outline of the major legal systems in the contemporary world.Civil Law System, Common Law System, Communist Law System & Islamic Law System, each have their own clear nature, characters and sources as a result of their widely differing process of Development. We have been at pains to stream the separate legal systems of all four major legal systems in the contemporary world.The Book is not exclusively for international lawyers those who study international laws, comparative law; legal method, history of laws, there is much that pertain to civil law, and religious studies, thus though primarily intended for legal methods degree students, the Book can be read usefully and with understanding by those studying Sharia law and comparative law.
