This study presents an experimental investigation and dimensional analysis of investment casting components produced using additive manufactured patterns and Plaster of Paris (POP) as the moulding material. The research focuses on the design and fabrication of casting patterns through additive manufacturing, enabling the creation of complex geometries and lightweight structures. Plaster of Paris is used as the base mould material and is enhanced with magnesium oxide and aluminium oxide to improve mould strength and thermal stability during casting. The experimental work includes mould preparation, furnace setup, and metal pouring under controlled conditions. Important parameters affecting dimensional accuracy, such as pattern shrinkage and processing variables, are examined through dimensional analysis. Measurement of the cast parts is carried out using Coordinate Measuring Machine (CMM) and laser scanning techniques to evaluate dimensional deviations. The collected data are analysed to identify trends and refine process parameters.
