This document presents the results of a study whose overall objective is to assess the impacts of erosion control structures on agricultural production in a context of climate variability in the Tillabéry region of Niger. Four technology combinations were evaluated: ridge + organic fertilizer, ridge + mulching, simple ridge, and zaï + organic fertilizer. Millet yields were significantly higher at sites equipped with erosion control technologies compared to the control (unimproved) sites. These results show that the adoption of erosion control techniques improves crop yields in an environment with a high risk of erosion.
