Synopsis

This book presents an advanced 11-compartment host-vector model that captures eight stages of human infection and three mosquito life stages, integrating treatment, vaccination, natural recovery, and reinfection. Through mathematical analysis and numerical simulations validated with Nigerian malaria data, the study identifies key factors driving transmission such as vector biting rates and progression rates and evaluates the effectiveness of combined interventions. Findings show that integrated strategies, including high treatment and vaccination coverage alongside vector control, can dramatically reduce malaria prevalence. This work highlights the importance of multi-pronged public health strategies and provides a robust framework for guiding malaria control and elimination efforts in endemic regions.
