This study examines the topic of tokophobia, or fear of childbirth. The aim was to provide a better understanding of the causes of tokophobia and to support expectant mothers and families through optimal midwifery care. The results show that tokophobia has a significant impact on the course of labour, as well as on the mother, child and relationship. It is therefore important to recognise tokophobia and treat it as effectively as possible so that the mother can have a positive birth experience.
