Synopsis

Currently, relations in the field of education in Ukraine are governed by provisions of administrative, civil, labor, tax, budgetary, and other which, collectively, are referred to as educational legislation. A characteristic feature of this legislation is the presence of various contradictions, which often lead to conflicts due to the imprecise interpretation of legal concepts as they apply to educational institutions and participants in the educational process as a whole. The level of development of the legal system and the associated sharp quantitative growth and hierarchical complexity of the body of laws regulating educational relations, as well as the very nature, specifics, and exceptional significance of education as a social institution in modern conditions objectively lead the author to the conviction that educational law must be identified as a comprehensive branch of law, occupying an important place both within the legal system of society as a whole and within the systemic structure of law itself.
