Synopsis

In the 2010/11 school year, we launched a peer mediation project at a primary school in Leoben. Six children were trained as mediators and subsequently acted as peer mediators. They were supported in this by a teacher from the school. The project proved so successful that it has been a regular feature of everyday life at this school since 2010. Every two years, Year 3 pupils undergo training to become mediators and then serve in this role until the end of Year 4.
