The theoretical basis of this premise is the synergistic effect of the two drugs with different mechanisms of action to reduce the treatment resulted in drug resistance. and can be more effective in eradicating pathogens. The basis of this theory is likely to trigger the development of ear local drug combinations containing an aminoglycoside. such as neomycin. and another multi-polymyxin class drugs (such as polymyxin B sulfate). The evidence does not support the two drugs in combination therapy treatment of ear aeruginosa infection data do not support the need for systemic use of two drugs.
