Wang Weiyi (987-1067) during the Song Dynasty. Hua Boren (the fourteenth century) during the Yuan Dynasty and Gao Wu and Yang Jiz'.3u (the sixteenth century) during the Ming Dynasty. They all made brilliant contribution to the development of acupuncture and moxibustion. After the founding of the People's Republic of China, the field of acupuncture and moxibustion was rejuvenated with the formulation of the policy to develop traditional Chinese medicine. In the subsequent decades, following the essential of The Internal Classic and Classic on Medical Problems, we have created many new acupuncture methods, thus inheriting and developing the sciences of acupuncture and moxibustion.
