This book belongs to Practical Chinese Graded Reader Series - Level 2 (1000 words level). It can be used for learners in HSK Level 3 - 5 or those who have learned 1000 Chinese characters to read after class or study on their own. This book has altogether 25 articles, all of which are about Chinese idioms. Arranged in chronological order, all the selected idioms are about the events or people that are against detailed and thorough historical settings. The suggested time for reading each story and the number of words in each story are given.
