Synopsis
The new edition continues to give a broad perspective of the framework of the Indian Constitution and its salient features so that the reader gets an insight to its working. The Fifth Edition shows quite a few changes because the Supreme Court has pronounced on some important aspects of the law. All important decisions of the Supreme Court reported till 31st December 2008 have been referred, and explained where necessary. It incorporates all constitutional amendments upto the 94th amendment.

BRIJ KISHORE SHARMA, Former Chairman, Copyright Board. Earlier he was Chairman, National Book Trust (NBT), India. He worked with distinction as Additional Secretary in the Ministry of Law, Govt. of India. He has more than a decade of experience in teaching LL.B. and LL.M. courses and has lectured in various universities and training institutes across the country. He has authored several books in Hindi including Bharat Ka Samvidhan-Ek Parichay, Vidhi Shastra-Ek Adhyayan, Vidhi Ki Shabdavali aur Vidhi Ka Anuvad and Vidhi Bhasha Prabodh (Learning Legal Language).
