N.P. Gopalan, Ph.D., is Professor in the Department of Computer Applications, National Institute of Technology (NIT), Tiruchirappalli, Tamil Nadu. He has over two decades of experience in teaching and research in IT-related subjects. Dr. Gopalan has written numerous articles related to computer engineering and computer science and has authored Web Technology: A Developer's Perspective and co-authored TCP/IP Illustrated, both published by PHI Learning, New Delhi. B. Sivaselvan, Ph.D., is Assistant Professor, Indian Institute of Information Technology, Design and Manufacturing, Kancheepuram, IIT Madras Campus, Chennai. He has eight years of experience in teaching and research in computer science and engineering. Dr. Sivaselvan has co-authored (along with Prof. N.P. Gopalan) the book TCP/IP Illustrated.
