About The Author:- Dr. P. Manikyamba, had her early education in Amalapuram in Andhra Pradesh. From the Andhra University she obtained her M.A., degrees in History and Political Science Starting as a lecturer in the SKBR College, Amalapuram, she later joined the University of Hyderabad as a lecturer in the Department of Political Science where he is now a Reader. She was awarded the Ph.D. degree in 1980 by the Andhra University Comparative Politics and Comparative Government have been her fields of specialization. In addition, she works in the area of Womenâ€TMs Studies, particularly Women in political process.
