About The Author:- Dr. K. N. Sahay did his M.A. in Anthropology from Bihar University and was awarded Ph.D. by Ranchi University. Earlier, he was awarded a Pre-Doctoral Fellowship by the Wenner-Gren Foundation for Anthropological Research Inc., New York, to conduct his field-work for the Doctoral thesis. At the moment, Dr. Sahay is Professor of Social Anthropology in the U.G.C.'s Centre of Advanced Study in Anthropology, Ranchi University. He was invited to Tokyo to join a orientation course in film-making by Nippon Audio-Visual Productions (NAV). Earlier, he edited and published a biannual Visual Anthropology Bulletin (1979-82), and is still editing the Journal of Social Research.
