Ramasamy, is Assistant Field Officer (South Zone), Raja Rammaohan Roy Library Foundation (RRRLF). His duties include inspection of Public Libraries assisted by RRRLF in the southern State of Andhra Pradesh, Karnataka, Kerala and Tamil Nadu. Earlier he served in western India covering the States of Goa, Gujarat, Madhya Pradesh and Maharashtra. Since 1987, he inspected over 3,000 Public Libraries of various categories in 8 states and 4 Union Territories of India by traveling over 4 lakhs kilometers by road and rail. He started his professional career in Chennai Law College and worked as Librarian, Highways Research Station, Chennai before joining RRRLF. Being a prolific author, he wrote 64 books in Tamil and English on diverse subjects such as Art and Culture, Biography, English Grammar and Composition, G.K., General Science, History, I.T., Library Science, and Zoology.
