M. Vimaladevi is the sinior teachers in the country in pharmaceutical technology. Untill the year 2000 she was the only woman professor in indian universities in pharmacy. She has taught all pharmaceutical technology subjects for the last 37 years and is a specialist in cosmetics and herbal cosmetic technology and formulations. This is reflected in her second volume on herbal cosmetics. She is the founder president of indian cosmetic technologists association, and member of many professional bodies., national and international. She is a veteran teacher, administrator, and CEO of a herbal cosmetics industry. She is a rare personality as an academician with rich industrial experience in pharmaceuticals, cosmetics and neutraceuticals. She is a visiting professor in many universities and a consultant/adviser for industries. She is widely travelled and has participated in many national and international conferences, and chaired sessions.
