MURTHY Is currently Consulting Geotechnical Engineering practising in bangalore, India he was Head of the Department of Civil Engineering Bhooma Reddy collage of Engineering and Technology Hubli, and was on the staff of Victoria Jubilee Technical Institute Mumbai He was Assistant Professor of Civil Engineering at the Indian Institute of Technology Kharagpur Assistant Director and Head of the Soil Engineering Division Central Building Research Institute Roorke and Senior Professor and Head Civil Engineering Department, Regional Collage of Engineering Nagpur He was the Principal Geotechnical consultant of sai kripa Technical Consultants New Delhi. He received his Bachelor of engineering degree from Mysore University Master of Science degree in Civil engineering from the University of Illinois, Urbana-Champaign and PhD in foundation engineering from the Indian institute of technology, kharagpur, India. Prof Murthy was a consultant to many prestigious organizations such as National Thermal Power Corporation National Industrial Development Corporation Mathura Oil Refinery Maruti Udytg Ltd He has authored numerou technical papers published in India and abroad He is a fellow of the Institution of Engineers (India) a life member of the geotechnical society (India) and a member of the International Society of Soil Mechanics and Foundation engineering (India).
