Dr. Pramod Kumar is working as a senior professor and HOD Anaesthesiology, MP Shah Medical College, Jamnagar, Gujarat. He is involved in the teaching and profession of anaesthesiology since last 30 years as faculty member in Institute of Medical Sciences, BHU, Varanasi; Mahatma Gandhi Institute of Medical Sciences, Wardha and SSS Institute of Higher Medical Sciences, Prasanthigram (AP). He was the founder Treasurer, Secretary, Vice-President and President of Indian Society for Study of Pain (ISSP) which is Indian chapter of International Association for Study of; Pain (USA). Further he was founder of Pain Clinics the regional branches in Varanasi, Saurastra, Vidarbha and Gujarat. He was constantly working at grass root level for clinical and research aspects of pain relief. Author has more than 60 research papers to his credit. He is a guide and examiner for MD and DA (Anaesthesiology) examinations. He has been involved with the founding of South Asian Federation of Pain Societies, West Zone ISA, as their advisor and co-ordinator. His biodata is listed in WHOs International, Indo-American, European and eminent physicians of India, young men and women of achievements in India. Further he has been offered various awards which he refuses as a matter ofprinciples. He is also corresponding peer editor of Ind J Anaesth, Ind J Pain and Asian Archives of Anaesthesia.
