As Fr. Kentenich's "God My Father" was a sort of introduction to Fr. Kentenich's views on the importance of recognizing God as Father, this book provides further development on this theme. There are five topics 1) Jesus' message that God is our Father, 2) Fatherly providence, 3) The significance of prior experiences for God's fatherhood, 4) Living with God the Father, 5) Schönstatt and its Father-centered mission. Fr. Kentenich's book underscores the idea that God is in fact, our Father--and a good one at that. Due to experiences or theological misinterpretations or misconceptions, we develop a false idea of God and what He is. We are all too quick to manufacture a God that simply reflects our own father-experiences. "Rediscovering the Father" suggests that we reconstruct our idea of God based on a sound understanding of God's role as Father and our role as children of God. As is the case with other Fr. Kentenich books, I cannot recommend this work highly enough; it is certainly worth reading and re-reading. - review by M. Hamann
